Star trek online dps engine10/4/2023 I wanted to show they could do an amount of DPS that would contribute to Advanced-level queue performance without extreme skill and breaking the bank both in-game and in your actual bank account. I know players starting out won’t have the finer points of cooldown management, ability rotation, and strategic piloting down pat. I don’t do well with timing my abilities to take advantage of damage resistances mixed with damage boosts, managing my cooldowns so I have everything I need available as often as possible, and piloting into the proper spots to maximize things like Flanking damage (though I have ironically gotten a bit better about the piloting because I became more aware of my need to do as well as possible). This is the culmination of an idea that needed to be explored: Could you do decent DPS with a Tier 5 ship and no expensive (50 million EC+ or over 3,000 Zen for a single purchase) gear, traits, etc.? The worse run was ~25k, while the better was 30k, resulting in an average of 27.5k DPS. That's not bad for a T5 ship living off mostly Mk XV non-Epic items. That roughly comes to an average of ~27.5k DPS on those 2. Did my 2nd run of Infected: Space (Normal) to finish up my time in the T5 Defiant in final battle for it came in at ~25k DPS.
